FedPoint Contributes to Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire in Support of Fallen Firefighters Family Fund

Portsmouth, NH (October 26, 2021)—FedPoint^® recently contributed $10,000 to the Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire (PFFNH) in support of its Fallen Firefighters Fund. The donation was made to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy and honor those first responders who have given their lives while on duty.

"The 20th anniversary of September 11 was a sobering reminder of the commitment our firefighters—and all first responders—make to put themselves in harm's way on behalf of the rest of us," said FedPoint CEO Paul Forte. "The donation is a way for FedPoint to pay tribute to those emergency personnel and the role they played on 9/11, as well as our first responders here in New Hampshire, and to show our gratitude to their family members. It is especially appropriate this year, given the heavy burden first responders have borne during the COVID-19 pandemic."

FedPoint representatives presented members of the PFFNH with the donation on October 1, just ahead of the 40th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, held by the National Fallen Firefighter's Foundation.

The PFFNH's Fallen Firefighter Family Fund was established in 2002, in the wake of 9/11, so that in the event of a line-of-duty death, the PFFNH could provide immediate assistance to the family. Additionally, funds are used to send the family to see their loved one's name go on the International Association of Firefighters Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs and to provide a Christmas gift to the children, so they are not forgotten.
