Michael Crones Joins FedPoint as Chief Information Officer
Portsmouth, NH (October 26, 2023)—Federal insurance and benefits administrator FedPoint® is pleased to welcome Michael Crones to the organization as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Crones comes to FedPoint from from aPriori Technologies, a SaaS-based software firm used by manufacturers during their engineering processes, where Michael was the Chief Information and Chief Security Officer, responsible for its portfolio of IT services, compliance, and cyber security.
At FedPoint, Crones will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of FedPoint's evolving technology infrastructure, software development and quality, user experience, and all facets of the company’s digital strategy.

"His deep understanding and breadth of experience in infrastructure, cloud migration, complex program management, among other areas, will contribute greatly to FedPoint’s ability to continue to evolve and expand our technology infrastructure."

Crones has served previously in numerous technical leadership roles at both MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Draper Laboratory, in addition to aPriori Technologies.
Active in the community, Crones serves on STEM-focused boards at both Bridgewater State University and Merrimack College in addition to being an adjunct faculty member at Boston College where he teaches in the Cybersecurity Policy and Governance master's program. He is active in supporting the greater Boston high-tech community through his engagement with the Mass Tech Advantage, which helps develop alternative and diverse talent sources.
Crones holds his undergraduate degree from Merrimack College and his master's degree from Brandeis University.
